MROA Coordinator / ARCA West

My Story

Hello, we are Tony and Jessica Acosta. Over the last 25 years, I have had the amazing opportunity to serve as a motorsports chaplain. In 1998, I moved to Charlotte, North Carolina to pursue ministry where I served at Concord Motorsports Park. I spent 2 years at CMP before receiving a call from MRO to fill a need with motorcycle road racing. For those of you who don’t know about motorcycle road racing, these are the guys that race at road courses across America, go 200 mph and drag their knees and elbows. Let’s just say they certainly need a chaplain. Over the last 2 decades, I have served with MRO and MROA in various motorcycle series from asphalt to dirt and whatever might be in between.

In 2020, my wife Jessica and I were married and having her serve along my side has been a true blessing.

Also in 2020, I began to lead our MROA Chaplains with monthly zoom calls, connecting with and networking with chaplains across the country. Over the last few years, I have been helping lead our annual chaplains gathering/trainings and have been given the title of “MROA Chief Love and Care Coordinator”.

At the beginning of 2023, Jessica and I were asked to fill in for Bob and Kathy Butcher in the ARCA West Series. We truly enjoyed serving this series and continued to work with them even when the Butchers were able to return. Lord willing, we plan on serving the ARCA West Series again in 2024.

In our free time we enjoy spending time with our family here in Arizona, off roading in our jeep, hiking and attending/serving at our local church when we are not out of town.

If I can be of any assistance to you in your journey with Christ or if you have an interest in serving in motorsports ministry, please do hesitate to contact me. I can be reached via phone or email.
