Jackie's passion for teaching began in 1972 with a class of 3 year olds in a Christian school in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. A year later, she started her own preschool. In 1976, the family moved to North Carolina to attend Piedmont Bible College. Jackie became the curricula writer and director for preschool at Gospel Light Christian School in Walkertown, NC. Sharing her life story and personal faith in Christ at many churches and gatherings led Jackie to the opportunity to serve as the high school speech teacher and program/production writer and director for all grades at Gospel Light Christian School.
In 1982, God gave Jackie another passion, for the sanctity of human life. She began as a volunteer and quickly emerged as a spokesperson for the local Right to Life effort. In 1986, Jackie was a founder and first director of Salem Pregnancy Support, a crisis pregnancy ministry in Winston-Salem, NC. In addition, Jackie's political activism has led to fulltime positions in four congressional campaigns in the 5th Congressional District of NC. During this period, she was elected Vice Chairperson for the Republican Party in Forsyth County and the 5th Congressional District Executive Committee.
Jackie's focus since 1992 has been for the spiritual growth and encouragement of the motor racing community through the ministry of MRO, especially to the women and children. She holds weekly Bible studies in local churches, established and conducts an annual ladies banquet, and spends many hours preparing her teachings for both moms and their children. Jackie also ministers through drama and presentations at area women's banquets, retreats and at Christian schools and churches.
Jackie was raised in the Virginia Beach/Norfolk, Virginia area where her dad was the head Docking Pilot for the US Navy. Her mom created porcelain dolls and provided much joy for the family of four. Jackie made her commitment of faith at the age of 12 in a small Methodist church. Jackie has always had a special love for children, which carried over to a home filled with many children who lived with them from time to time, and created a special extended family. Today, the children, and some of the parents, affectionately recognize Jackie as "Miss Jackie."
Jackie's husband, Ron, is the Chief Operating Officer for ST Motorsports. They reside in Concord, NC. Ron and Jackie love to spend time with their grown children, Paige, Pat and Krystal. Together they share in spoiling their grandchildren, Ashley, Matthew, Joshua, and Molly Grant.
