About Motor Racing Outreach

Motor Racing Outreach (MRO) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1988 to serve the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series racing community.

Over the years, MRO has evolved due to the requests for our services from other forms of motor sports like stock car, motorcycle, and powerboat racing. Our efforts and resources are directed towards four opportunities of ministry; touring series ministry, fan outreach and evangelism, in-homes and race shop discipleship, and lastly, the development of the Motor Racing Outreach Association (MROA).

Motor sports are pressure filled and can place stressful demands on drivers, crewmembers, officials, media, husbands, children, wives and the many other people groups that make up racing communities. For MRO, and those who partner with us, our opportunity is to support these racing communities so that they may enjoy a more wholesome life together and, in turn, become role models for millions of motor sports fans around the world.

It is the mission of Motor Racing Outreach to introduce the racing community to a personal faith in Christ, to growth in Christlikeness, and to active involvement in the church through relationships that provide care in times of stress, knowledge of God’s word, and assistance in the development of leadership skills.

We hope to unify and mobilize believers worldwide to support the development of young people, who have a reason to face the future, singles, with a sense of fulfillment, husbands and wives, who honor one another, and peaceful resolutions to all disputes rather than bitterness and regret.

We are committed to operating on a day-to-day basis using the principles found in God’s word, the Bible. Those who are a part of Motor Racing Outreach Association are also personally committed to these same guiding principles.

We has been a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA) since 1999. Our membership in ECFA is evidence to our donors that we adhere to the highest standards of Christian ethics in financial accounting and reporting and that our finances will be independently audited on an annual basis. Disclosure of a current financial statement is available upon request.
