Authenticity... We are hungry for it!

I am a political junky. The dynamics of politics, human nature, movement of people, the emotions and how they play out fascinate me. The political pundits constantly evaluating the races that can change literally overnight. Right today, wrong tomorrow. It is a very fluid, ever changing world. The question that always seems to be asked is what moves voters to support a potential candidate. Is it there position on issues, is it their charisma, their political party affiliation, their ability to inspire, their positives or their negatives. These and many other factors are always being considered, polled, and evaluated. I have a thought with regard to what people are looking for... Authenticity! I sense our society looking for someone, maybe consciously or possibly subconsciously, that they can believe because they sense Authenticity. That they are really who they appear to be. They can trust them. People are tired of feeling fooled by their leaders. No one wants to admit they have been fooled but after a time if you feel that way you are ready for a Change. Authenticity is stability and restores confidence. No silly games and political spin. Just the truth.
